Your Care your Way Campaign
Healthwatch England has launched its Your Care Your Way campaign to encourage NHS health and care service to provide communication needs are met.
‘By law, all publicly funded health and social care providers must fully comply with the Accessible Information Standard (AIS). There’s a growing body of evidence suggesting that this is not happening.’ Healthwatch England.
In February, Healthwatch England launched their Your Care Your Way campaign. As part of that campaign, they have set out five headline recommendations to help health and care services ensure that people who have communication needs are given their healthcare information in the way they need it. ‘We believe that health and care services need to be held accountable for ensuring they fully meet this obligation to support people’s communication needs.’ Healthwatch England.
