Digital Inclusion in Herefordshire
Healthwatch identified and supported individuals who were digitally deprived and enabled them to access online services, information, and advice to help with their health and wellbeing.
Following the acceleration of digital access needs from the pandemic during 2021 and 2022, Healthwatch Herefordshire carried out this project in partnership with Fastershire, Community First and Housing Tech Team (formerly Amica 24).
- The project supported the recruitment, deployment, training/support and evaluation of assistive technologies.
- It included 18 participants who had been identified as digitally deprived.
- The project took place over a 12 month period.
The report looks at the contributing factors to digital exclusion and includes recommendations on how to support those who want to become digitally included.
