Healthwatch Bids Farewell to Director

At the end of August, Healthwatch Herefordshire bids farewell to one of its Directors, Richard Kelly.

Richard joined the team in 2018 and has been a great support in growing and developing the organisation into what it is today. 

Throughout his time at Healthwatch, Richard has an important role to play in making sure local people have a say in how health and care services develop and holding health services to account. Representing Healthwatch at a senior strategic level, Richard’s passion and work within mental health and dementia services have been particularly effective in doing this. He has also supported the development and growth of our Schools Mental Health Forum and the Herefordshire Community Partnership.

The Healthwatch team would like to thank Richard for his hard work over the past 4 years. He will be greatly missed, and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.  We have no doubt that with his other commitments within the county, our paths will cross again soon.

Andy Watts joins Healthwatch Herefordshire as new Chair

We are delighted to welcome our new Chair, Andy Watts to the Healthwatch team. Andy has extensive experience of the local health and care system having worked as a GP at Sarum House Surgery and Hereford Medical Group and in other clinical roles at Hereford County Hospital.
Now retired, Andy has held a number of board roles throughout his career including Chair of Herefordshire CCG and Co-Chair of Herefordshire Medical Group.
