Andy Watts joins Healthwatch Herefordshire as new Chair

We are delighted to welcome our new Chair, Andy Watts to the Healthwatch team. Andy has extensive experience of the local health and care system having worked as a GP at Sarum House Surgery and Hereford Medical Group and in other clinical roles at Hereford County Hospital.

I am very happy to be joining the Healthwatch team. I follow a line of very able contributors and I am aware of the amazing work the team do through my previous NHS roles, so I hope I can do justice to the role.

Andy Watts

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Conor Price for his work over the past year as interim chair. We are pleased to say that he will remain on the Healthwatch board in a new capacity. We also welcome Roberta (Bobby) Morris and Alex Fitzpatrick to the board as non-executive directors.

Roberta (Bobby) Morris
Bobby is a registered nurse, specialising in cancer care. Passionate about the NHS, she has held a number of clinical and non clinical roles, working at executive director level in Wales. Now retired, Bobby volunteers for the Ministry of Justice, the Citizens Advice service and is president of Elgar Rotary Club. She is particularly interested in reducing health inequalities.

Alex Fitzpatrick
Alex has had a varied career in local government and independent business. She has devoted much of her career to the support of children, young people and families in Herefordshire. A former commissioner, she is passionate about the power of the community sector - especially the role communities and the voluntary sector play in the emotional well-being and good mental health of children and young people. She is driven by the importance of the voice of young people in determining and developing the services they can access.
